Within an exhaustive contextual inquiry process, the requirements of welders (related to the welding machines and their operation) were analyzed. In total, the requirements analysis team collected and evaluated about 60 hours of video material, about 16 hours of audio recordings, about 400 photos and about 480 so-called affinity notes.
